OPI Skyfall Collection Holiday 2012: Swatches and Review

Ready for some Bond swatches?...Yep, I'm shoving swatches for all 12 colors into one post, so grab your martini (shaken not stirred), hop in your Aston Martin  (I wish) and hold on tight to your Walther PPK (Beretta 418 for the more modern Bond fans) , and get ready for some swatches!!!

"Goldeneye"
2 coats, no top coat

1995, Pierce Brosnan.   (I got the idea of adding the stars and years from Onmorphiabeautybar) WOW! This is so rich and luxurious looking. This is a great gold flakie. The first coat was thin, but the 2nd coat went on nicely and was completely opaque! Very pretty! FYI..I loved all the Russian accents in this movie, awesome!!!

"The Spy Who Loved Me"
2 coats, no top coat

1997, Roger Moore.  I love this golden shimmer! Cherry red creme with golden flecks of shimmer! I totally draw a blank with this film, but this polish definitely makes up for it. :)

"Die Another Day"
2 coats, no top coat

2002, Pierce Brosnan.  This is a fabulously vibrant burnt orange red shimmer.  It's basically a red shimmer but with strong undertones of orange, think of an explosion of a car or nuclear factory, it's red, it's orange, it's a BLAST!!!!

"Skyfall"
2 coats, no top coat

2012 starring Daniel Craig. I am so excited for this movie (the theme song rocks) , but this polish?...not so much! Deep maroon brick red creme, I love cremes, but this one just doesn't do IT for me. Oh well!

"You Only Live Twice"
2 coats, no top coat

1967, Sean Connery.  Love! Raspberry shimmer with golden glass flecks. This pink POPS!  This is my next pedicure color,
FO-SHO!

"Casino Royale"
2 coats, no top coat

2006, Daniel Craig.  Loved the movie, action packed from the beginning scene, Love it...the polish? ...not so action packed, LOL! Very pretty berry creme. I love the color, I love cremes like this, they are so perfect for fall, but still this creme leaves me a bit flat.

"Moonraker"
2 coats, no top coat

1979, Roger Moore.  Blech! Double Blech!! This movie was odd, with the big dude with all the metal teeth, and now this polish! It was a P.I.T.A to apply too.

This is a metallic silver with awesome blue undertones, it's a very cool color...in the bottle!

Runny, streaky and you have to wait till the 1st coat is completely dry, before applying the 2nd coat. or you will get polish drag, Ugh!

"Tomorrow Never Dies"
2 coats, no top coat

1997, Pierce Brosnan.  Love. Swoon! Love, Love, Love!!!! Deep blue/purple shimmer, so pretty and if you look close, you can see the micro-fine pink ad blue shimmer!

"The Living Daylights"
1 coat, no top coat

1987, Timothy Dalton.  Pretty, but the colors of the glitter leave me kind of "on the fence"!  Gold, bronze, teal and silver teal hex glitter in a clear base. Not bad, definitely different color combination, this one is nice, but it will have to grow on me :)

"On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
 2 coats, no top coat

1969, George Lazenby.  Poor George, this dude barely go an even shot at it, LOL! One movie and he was out...poor George! The movie wasn't that great, but the polish certainly is!  AWESOME, blue foil glass fleck shimmer with gold and teal added shimmer. Yes, it looks familiar to anther recently released color, but it's pretty, so it's a winner for me!

"Live and Let Die"
2 coats, no top coat

1973, Roger Moore.  Totally opaque in 1 coat, but I did 2, just because that is my usual M.O. Love this green! This deep blackened green has gold and green flecks inside, so pretty! This is gorgeous, and I will certainly be wearing this color again, and again!

"The World Is Not Enough"
2 coats, no top coat

1999, Pierce Brosnan.  This is one of my favorite Bond theme songs, sung by "Garbage".  This one so needed 3 coats, but I was too tired to apply it and take another pic...LOL, after swatching 12 colors,  I just couldn't do 1 more coat. :)

Not a big fan of this bronze glass fleck shimmer. The added pink, gold and copper shimmer is nice, but I'm on the fence about this one.

The formula on all of these (with the exception of Moonraker) was superb! All went on smoothly, no control issues, and all of them dried nicely! Although I do take most of my pics while the polish is still "sticky", I wait around for them to dry, to see if they dry in a "good time".

Okay...overall, my favorite colors are "Goldeneye", "The Spy Who Loved Me", "You Only Live Twice", "Tomorrow Never Dies", "Our Majesty's Secret Service",  and "Live and Let Die". :)

I am not happy AT ALL with "Moonraker", what a P.I.T.A. So disappointing!

Goldeneye looks so lovely on you. It looked awful on my skin tone, which was disappointing. I am in love with Tomorrow Never Dies, though.
